iPhone connects to several other iPhones when in crowded areas

When listening to music through wireless headphones in crowded public places audio started lagging heavely. Noticed several iPhones with 'Connected'-status ('Tilsluttet' in Danish) in my Bluetooth settings. Not possible to remove or disconnect them and never got notifications about devices connecting. I find it a bit concerning and annoying as it clearly interfers with the connection to my wireless headset. Never had lagging in other scenarios. Only happened after the new update. Anyone with a fix to this problem?

As it isn’t showing an “i” those are connected to an app on your iPhone using BLE, not to the phone itself. what apps do you have on your iPhone that use BLE? An example might be hearing aids, health monitoring apps, etc.

I doubt that the lag is related to those connections, but you need to find out what app you have running that connects with Bluetooth.

Thank you for the respons. I can't figure out which specific apps in my phone that uses BLE. I just followed the suggestion from Jeff Donald, the only app allowed to use Bluetooth is Spotify.

The stuttering starts when I have above 3-4 of these iPhone BLE connections and disappears when they are gone. You know more about this than me, I don't doubt that, but I find it very hard not to see a link between these random connections and the stuttering.
