after updating to IOS 18.2 I have been facing an emoji lag in the keyboard, it gets fixed for a while after restarting but comes up again after a few hours it is very annoying.
also the emoji that I search for does not gets included in my recently used emojis.
is there any way to solve it or someone else facing the same issue?

Same here. It started with the iOS 18.0 (beta) when I was on 13 Pro and is still the same on 18.3 on my 16 Pro. The recently used emojis (at least on whatsapp) don’t show, the lag in opening the emoji section on keyboard is annoying and is very frequent. So far iOS 18 has been the most unstable and unreliable update in many years.

Just found a solution to fix bug, lag, slow whenever you want to go on emojis keyboard which is annoying and im on iphone 16 pro max ios 18.2
Go to Setting > General > Keyboard > Scroll all way down and find emoji stickers and toggle off > then restart your device
the only disadvantage is you wont able to create and use sticker from your ios emoji keyboard when sending messages to someone unless you dont even use stickers at all which is worked perfectly
Yes my emoji keyboard is now super slow at loading. The qwerty keyboard is ok but as soon as I press the emoji button there’s a real delay which wasn’t there before.
In itself it’s not a massive issue but when you use it countless times a day it’s frustrating, especially as it wasn’t like this in previous iOS builds.

I just updated to 18.2.1 and it looks like they fixed it! I no longer have those annoying blank emojis and my stickers are work!🎉
