How to retrieve "Add to Queue" option that disappeared on my iPhone 12 Pro

Current iOS/iphone 12 pro

Podcasts app works fone except for the queue. The add to queue option has disappeared.

I’ve played through, and was listening to the last of my existing queue.

Podcast Add to Queue Not Working and Play Next not working Steps to reproduce: In the podcast app, go to the episode in library that you want to add to the queue, tap the three dots, tap “Add to Queue”. The “Added to Queue” message pops up. Then navigate to the Queue and see that the episode has not been added. same steps as above, except tap “Play Next”. The “Playing Next” message pops up. But the episode is not added to the “Up Next” queue. My Queue was full of random episodes which the app had automatically placed on the queue. I deleted all but three of these from the queue, but this has not fixed the problem. I also turned off my iPhone and turned it back on. This also did not help. my wife has the exact same problem on her iPhone, which is a different generation, so it is not a problem with my phone in specific.

”Play next” has to be selected first before a queue can be started.
