18.2 broke my cellular connection (iPhone XR)

The update for 18.2 came over last night and today my XR no longer has a cellular connection.

Settings/Cellular Connection - Issue detected -

So it's just scanning and scanning for a signal.

I've tried power cycle several times.

My husband's newer phone is on the same plan/service and is fine.

Any way to undo this?

The provider was unable to resolve it - even trying a new SIM card it was stuck searching for a connection. It was not dropped or damaged, just the update and then - gone. The iPhone is bricked as far as cellular is now concerned, and we'll have to buy another one.

Yes you contact your cellular data provider to resolve the issue.

The same thing happened to me. In settings, there’s an option to connect to a Cellular plan. But when I went to my phone service website & app it won’t let me reactivate my phone without sending me a text to confirm it’s me. And of course I can’t receive texts other than from other iPhone users.

my Apple Watch won’t work either. It’s a real mess up.
