Can I revert to the Mail App after the iOS 18.2 update
Just updated to 18.2. The Mail App is terrible. I just want it to be how it was, I don’t know, the entire time I’ve been in the iOS ecosystem. You know, like 10+ years.

Newer does not mean better! Just because you change something doesn’t mean you’re improving it. Please send an update so we can choose which way we want mail to show on the app
Amazingly, you have that choice already! It doesn’t require an update! And how to do that has been posted in this thread dozens of times! To save you the trouble of reading:
To remove the icons in the list view:
To turn off Categories:
These 2 steps will return the Mail app to the way it previously worked.
Settings > Apps > Mail > Show Contact Photos / toggle off
Go to Settings>Notifications>Mail>Customize Notifications>in BADGE COUNT select All Unread Messages.
Go to the 3 dots on the top right and change it to list view. It reverts back to the old view
settings- apps- mail- notifications - customize notifications- toggle “all mail”
Settings > Apps > Mail > Show Contact Photos / toggle off.
Also even if you can view mail the old way through List View - the categories are still there and the app still categorizes your mail in the background, using resources. I've asked in another question to please let us remove categories entirely. They are all wrong anyway and pretty useless.

Please give us the roll back options.
No one participating in this forum can change how your iPhone works. If you want Apple to know your thoughts, use the feedback page:
However, as was already pointed out by lkrupp, you can revert to the list view. Directions have been provided.
Settings > Apps > Mail > Show Contact Photos / toggle off
I hate the new mail but found the systems, mail app, turn off contact photos work but I would really like it to be as before.
On an iPhone or a Mac? If iPhone did you tap the more options button ⋯⃝ at the top right of the screen? What did you see?
Open your email hit the 3 buttons on right hand corner and change to list view, I changed all mine back
no, it doesn't
it does not work
Finally, in the end, there are numerous third party email clients that may satisfy your specific needs.

I think you're confusing "innovation" and "change for the sake of change"...
This change is a bunch of mediocre folks trying to keep themselves busy.
Then switch platforms and see if the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Denigrating Apple software engineers will likely get you ignored in the future. And just because YOU don’t like changes that does not mean others don’t either. Apple responds to feedback just like every other consumer oriented company. It does surveys about what customers want to see in additional features or options. If you wish to express your opinions to Apple then submit feedback, which Apple guarantees they will read but not necessarily respond to.
Yes, they do work and it definitely can be done if you can follow instructions. That being said if you are so displeased with the Mail app in iOS 18 you might consider switching to any number of third party email clients There literally dozens to choose from.
