What should I do if my iPhone 15 Pro overcharges?

I set my iPhone 15 pro (with iOS 18.1.1) charging limit to 80%, but recently my iPhone is still charging above 80%. Why? I use iPhone type c 20 watt power adapter with type c to type c Belkin cable.

It happens occasionally and Apple even mentions it in their support article. It’s nothing to worry about. Your iPhone does it to recalibrate Battery Health and confirm 100% capacity of battery. If it does it every time you charge your iPhone, please double check your settings, and change the slider position to another charge percentage. You may also want to force restart your iPhone following the steps in the Apple Support article I linked to below.
