I’ve been making videos from multiple ‘live photos’ successfully for ages. I made one since the ios18 update and the resulting video shows the order of the photos are reversed in the final video…ie the last photo taken is the beginning of the video and it goes backwards from there. Each individual photo still plays the correct way though.
Any ides on how to fix it?

Just select live photos, convert them to video and send to your friends. Such a great feature to present my live photos.
From ios18 this feature is useless and I'm checking every ios update if they finally fixed it. Playing video from newest live photo to oldest makes no sense and it's clearly a bug.
Is there any way to contact Apple and find out if it's at least in their bugs backlog?

However, it still does not make sense that selecting live photos and creating a movie will make the movie play in reverse from the newest to the oldest. Hope they fix it one day.

Unfortunately it didn’t work any better for me…still playing with the most recent photo first.

This can be fixed by creating an album with the photos you would like to make a video from, and then sorting the album by date oldest to newest. Once you have it sorted the video should play in order from the start of the year to the end.
I had to save the photos into their own album, then I sorted them oldest to newest. I selected all and saved as video. That made the video in the correct order and trimmed the overlap too!
