IPod Not Showing in ITune for Windows

I just installed iTunes 12.13.4.4 on a clean install of

W10Pro. I logged in to the store and made a playlist of some purchased music.

When I plugged the iPod in the only thing that happened was the iPod was recognized

by Explorer as a device. It asked me to trust which I did and iTunes asked to authorize

the computer which I did.

I want to transfer/copy/move the just made playlist to the

iPod from the library on the PC but I do not see the icon for the iPod in the

upper left corner as I did on the previous version on the W7Pro PC. On the old

installation of W7 the iPod was immediately recognized.

Occasionally, the iPod will ask for my phone number but does

not indicate where to input it. I x out of that.

How do I get ITunes to see the IPod?
