apple refund subscription

I have subscribed to a plan by accident and the money was deducted from my account but realizing my mistake, i resubscribed to a cheaper plan. There was a pop-up banner saying that the remaining amount will be refunded. Has anyone encountered something like this ? Do we actually receive the refund ?

Thank you for your response

If it is via apple, you will receive the refund and if not, you can apply for it yourself:

  1. Sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com.
  2. Tap or click "I'd like to," then choose "Request a refund."
  3. Choose the reason why you want a refund, then choose Next.
  4. Choose the app, subscription, or other item, then choose Submit. If you were charged for a subscription that you no longer want, you can also cancel the subscription.

Read this support article for information about how to check the status of a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple, and how long it takes to receive a refund if you are granted one --> Check the status of a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support

After you request a refund you'll receive a status update by email within 48 hours. If your refund is approved, the funds are applied to the same payment method that you used to buy the item. How long it takes for a refund to appear on your account or statement depends upon the payment method used:

● Store credit—It might take up to 48 hours to see the refund in your Apple Account balance.

● Mobile phone billing—It might take up to 60 days for the statement to show the refund. Processing time might be affected by your carrier. You can contact your carrier for an update.

● Credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Apple Cash, and all other payment methods—It might take up to 30 days for the statement to show the refund. If you don't see the refund after 30 days, contact your financial institution."

Since the article specifically says "statement", which for me is the thing that arrives monthly in my mailbox, I wonder if you check your daily card transactions if you might see it earlier?

For apps and media you can also sign into https://reportaproblem.apple.com to check if the status of your item is "Refunded".

If you need to contact Apple about this, click on this link --> Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support and choose a path that gets assistance from Apple staff.

Refund from Subscription

I hope my call for action will be given attention. Thank you.

Nobody reading this can do this for you. Read what I wrote two months ago. If you are asking a question again because somebody else started asking it in a topic, make sure you read all the other posts because usually there is already a solution.

Refund for my subscription

Have you tried with the provided links and also cancelled your subscription?

In most cases, all transactions in the App Store are final, but on some occasions the refund may be granted. It should never be expected though. For any subscription or free trial that will become a subscription if not cancelled, it requires you to double click the side button with the amount showing on the screen, followed by authorization with FaceID/TouchID or Passcode. It is not something that is done by accident.
