M1 iPad Pro 5th Gen not charging and stuck on charge screen after iOS 18.1 update

My 5th-gen iPad M1 has suddenly stopped responding. It won’t charge or respond to any of the suggested fixes, including force reboot and recovery mode. It was working perfectly until the battery drained completely. I managed to boot it once, connected the charger, and assumed it was charging, but when I checked again, it was dead. Now, it’s stuck on the charging screen (see image). Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a solution?

Hi sureshpathirana8, I had the same issue when I updated to 18.1 and my M1 has been bricked for the past 3 weeks until now… I purchased Tenoshare’s iOS System Repair and followed their instructions. It installed 18.3 but that didn’t help, so I decided to try to revert to 17. I downloaded iPadOS 17.7 from ipswbeta.dev and was able to roll back the firmware using the standard repair option. My ipad just now powered up and is currently recovering data.
