M1 iPad Pro 5th Gen not charging and stuck on charge screen after iOS 18.1 update

My 5th-gen iPad M1 has suddenly stopped responding. It won’t charge or respond to any of the suggested fixes, including force reboot and recovery mode. It was working perfectly until the battery drained completely. I managed to boot it once, connected the charger, and assumed it was charging, but when I checked again, it was dead. Now, it’s stuck on the charging screen (see image). Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a solution?

Unfortunately, mine is fully dead now, there is no battery power. With the iOS update the battery wasn't charging and now it's fully drained to the point I am unable to hard reset or go to any boot modes. I tried what you suggested so far but it's not getting detected by my Mac or even a PC. It was functioning flawlessly and with a simple software update, it turned into a prop. Please do suggest anything I can do to revive this.

What's funny is that when I spoke to Apple support after multiple meetings with folks in the Apple store, they simply said software cannot damage the hardware! I have even emailed Apple but no response. All I want is a fix to this M1.
