Hearing test option not showing up on Sequoia 15.1

I have AirPods 2 pro with the latest firmware. Apple documentation indicates that the hearing test is supposed to be available on the latest MacOS which I have. I can't find this option anywhere when looking at my AirPods setting.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 15.1

All requirements met. Hearing Air/Hearing Assistance toggle does not appear in System Preferences>AirPods Pro 2>Air Pods control pane. As instructed by Apple. It's just not there. Hearing Aid does work as advertised in iOS 18.1 but not in Mac 15.1

This outlines how to access the Hearing feature and it does not work.

Doing all that having the proper firmware and Sequoia 15.2 and the hearing heath does not appear. I am sitting here with the AirPods Pro 2's in my ears, selected as my sound output and hearing health is not there. I have this on both boot drives on my m2pro. My friend has an m1 (sorry he lives to far for me to use his machine to set the hearing health up) running 15.2 and he has the tab. He also has an iPad new enough to be able to do setup on hearing stuff.

If I could see the tab I would not be here right now! I just want to hear things better. It's why I bought AirPods

Please make sure you meet these other two requirements:

  1. Your AirPd Pros 2 must be updated to their latest firmware, which is 7B19. Here are instructions to update. About firmware updates for AirPods - Apple Support
  2. You Apple Account must be registered in a country that supports the hearing aid feature. Check your country here.  AirPods Pro 2 - Hearing Health Feature Availability - Apple

Be patient, people. Apple is working on it. Sequoia 15.1.1 does indeed add the Hearing Health pane with Hearing Aid toggle. The ability to add Hearing Test audiogram setting is not yet working but at least the control pane lists it and has toggles for it. So I'd bet the functionality will be there in 15.2, at least for those of us in USA.

Meanwhile, it appears the audiogram settings reside in the APP2 and it absolutely DOES work when listening to audio on the Mac. Go set up Hearing Aid on your iPhone or iPad and enjoy audiogram-corrected Music on your Mac. Your personalized equalization. Pretty cool!

Connect to your APP2>Settings>your AirPodPro2>2/3 the way down find Hearing Health>Hearing Aid and toggle it and Media Assist, Adjust Music and Video on, etc and there you go.
