iPhone/iMovie ProRes 4K/120 Help

I recorded video in ProRes 4K/120 on external hard drive and saved video on phone (iPhone 16 Pro). It goes into iMovie fine, but iMovie will not save to Photos, Files, Google Drive or anything. I have plenty of storage on phone, the newest iMovie app. Is it even possible to use this video. I’ve tried small video clips. Nothing works.

downloading videos from new iPhone 14 to iMovie. videos do not download in full color to iMovie from newer iPhones. When I bring videos from my new iPhone 14 they are all washed out. they don't download as they look on the phone. Is there a setting in iMovie as to what format the videos must be in?

iPad 10 iMovie and 4K Hi, i just bought the new iPad 10 and wanted to make a movie with the iMovie app. If i only choose pics im able to export the video in 4K but if i do this with my 4K Videos from the Photos app iMovie only gives me the option to export in 720p. Am i doing something wrong alhthough there is no option in iMovie for importing videos only in 4K. Maybe iPad 10 is not the best tool for 4K? Im on the newest software on both iMovie and iPad OS. The Apple Care hotline couldn‘t help me out because the Apple advisor on the Phone (Austria) told me he never heard about the App iMovie :( I hope someone will help me here. Thx

Issue with exporting videos from Clips So I have compiled a series of videos and did some trimming within the Clips app. However, when I tried to export the full video, it has repeatedly told me that the export has failed. I have tried restarting my phone (iPhone 13 Pro) but that did not help. My suspicion here is that the files might be too large (was using footage from my Sony A7III (4K)) and Clips just cannot handle it. Would like to verify this suspicion with someone within the community.

Hi,

Not sure if iOS iMovie supports 4k 120 fps. Mac iMovie does not support it, but supports 4k 30fps.

You can change the resolution of the clip from 120 to 60.

Then you can use it in IMovie

iMovie doesn’t seem to be compatible with the new hardware in the iphone 16 pro

you would think apple would have updated the software before it was released, but makes no sense why it wasn’t updated after ot was released
