iPhone 14 Pro Max Battery Health

My iPhone 14 Pro Max has shown a significant decline in battery health since the latest update 18.0.1. Before I had no issues with ending my day about 8 o’clock in the evening with 50 to 60% battery life left. With no changes in its usage I’m down to 20 or 30%. Anyone else noticed this since the update?

On average, Battery Health will decline about 1% for every 25 charge cycles, or in normal use about 1% per month. So having it down to 86% after 30 months is normal and actually better than average. The operating system running in your iPhone will not affect the Battery Health other than perhaps to recalibrate it. Battery Health is not a linear process; it can be steady for a while and then take a drop, or in some cases even increase, as the algorhythms do their best to provide an estimate.
