Unable to do a quick search for a contact’s birthday date in the Calendar app post iOS 18.0.1

Hi everybody! Formerly there used to be the possibility to do a quick search for a contact’s birthday date in the calendar app just by typing the name in the calendar search. Now after updating to iOS 18.0.1 this is no longer possible. Birthdays figure correctly in contacts AND in the calendar, hook is set to birthdays in iCloud, but no results when using calendar search. Other user describes same experience. Is it a bug? Or are there reasons why the feature could have been eliminated? Thanks for sharing

Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Show All, turn off iCloud Calendar, keep your data if prompted, restart the iPhone and turn back on iCloud Calendar. Wait a few minutes for the search index to be rebuilt.

It still works that way for me. Also, typing the name into the global search brings it up as well. So I think 6x6's instructions are a good place to start.
