Pages app, and the lack of ability to download older versions.

No matter what, I have been stymied by the affects of the internet that never forgets about the older versions and the App Store that acts as a vanguard against the older versions of apps. there's no way for me to get a newer MacOS update, and by extension, no way for me to get a version of Pages that is compatible with Monterey 12.7.6. an update I had to force, because the update system in my Mac, didn't detect the update.

hoping for help from the developers here..

throw me a bone, and tell me what I've missed, or send me a version that will download..?

Fix the App Store so that older versions of apps are available for download to people with limitations based on OS versions?

Any help would be appreciated, but the help of someone that can change things would be the best. please?!

I have not been able to test this method so it is just a theory but someone posted in the Numbers forum that it does, indeed, work to get the post-2013 versions of the iWork apps if you have not previously obtained them. First, you need access to a computer running macOS Sonoma or Sequoia (as of this date). Perhaps a friend will let you do this. Then you need to sign into the Mac App Store with your Apple ID & "purchase" the apps. Yes, they are free, but the process to acquire them & get them associated with your Apple ID is considered a purchase. You will then need to sign out of the Mac App Store on that Mac (unless it's yours) & delete the apps. Then sign into the Mac App Store on your older Mac & it *might* allow you to download them as described in VikingOSX’s reply in this discussion in the Pages for Mac forum.
