Beware of MacMini M2 pro and apple keyboard not always connecting at startup

I have had to buy a cheap wired keyboard just to deal with the random bug of it not connecting to my Apple keyboard. It will do fine for weeks and then suddenly I cannot input my password because the keyboard will not connect.

Issues with 13.4.1 update I am experiencing some issues on the MacBook Pro M1 2021 after applying the latest software update (13.4.1). Half of the keys on the keyboard are not responding after the update (cmd, O, U etc) and I cant input the password on the login screen. Tried with external keyboard, but was not getting connected, saying “Unlock to use accessories”. Managed to get the external keyboard working in Safe mode. Did a reinstall of the Mac OS there, and that fixed the external keyboard not available during login screen, and with that did a successful login. But the internal MacBook keyboard is still not responding. Does anyone else have the same issues?

MacBook Air M3 not recognizing wired Apple keyboard Apple wired keyboard A1243 worked this very Monday, now no connection at all. Restart, disk utility, but no connection. Running latest OSX, connected through hub as well as a dongle, both works with hard drives, printers etc. Tried the keyboard at a apple auth dealer with an imac, works perfectly, no cable issue. Called apple support, they have no idea... So what's is going on? More of the planned obsolesce business? This is just a simple wired tool, not even bluetooth.... Or is there a hidden setting somewhere deep in system preferences? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Are you putting the Mini to sleep or actually powering down?

Have you tried turning off the keyboard and turning it back on?

Also, do you have any other Bluetooth devices?

Also, are you connected via WiFi or ethernet for your network connection? While they should not interfere, for what ever reason sometimes they randomly can.
