Podcasts not playing — Cannot play this episode. Please try again later.

This issue has been happening for quite some time, for well over a year now. I can start playing an episode but if I stop and resume later on, I get the error of "This episode cannot be played right now. Please try again later."

This happens on my Mac and my iPhone. The only way to resolve it is to delete and reinstall the app. And I don't want to do that EVERY TIME. makes me not want to use the app at all.

Apple Podcast incorrectly marks episodes as played Something weird is happening with Apple Podcasts since the iOS 18 update. After I finish an episode, it automatically jumps to a different episode, puts it in play mode without actually starting it, and then marks it as played. This is super frustrating because I usually hide played episodes, and now it's hiding episodes I haven’t even listened to. Can someone at Apple please support me with this?
