Apple podcasts will not load or playback correctly

Since late September 2024, the Apple podcast app does not allow episodes to begin immediately upon pressing play. I have to repeatedly press play and wait a ridiculous amount of time to get the podcast to operate. I have plenty of room on my phone, and I have deleted all podcast history. Please fix this, Apple!

How to fix Apple Podcasts app not playing or showing episodes on iPhone? Ive had some support from Apple to try to resolve this but it seems to be a wider problem. Unable to play a podcast unless downloaded, and episodes not appearing when i click on a show. Apple Podcast incorrectly marks episodes as played Something weird is happening with Apple Podcasts since the iOS 18 update. After I finish an episode, it automatically jumps to a different episode, puts it in play mode without actually starting it, and then marks it as played. This is super frustrating because I usually hide played episodes, and now it's hiding episodes I haven’t even listened to. Can someone at Apple please support me with this?
