Pages converts in file xxx.png instead of xxx.docx

My iPad Pro 4M, updated to the latest version, has recently started converting Pages files into PNG files when I ask to convert them to Word. I can’t understand why! On my iPhone, the same operation works perfectly.

Any idea? Thank you.

On my M4 iPad Pro with iPadOS v18.0.1 and Pages v14.2, I can tap the down arrow of the document name while in Pages, select Export > Word > Save to Files, and pick the location. This produces a Word docx document, not an image. There is a separate Export panel selection for images.
