After having updated pages to the actual Version 13.1, the export of a document from pages to word does not work any longer. Instead of producing a word document, I get a bunch of .png files. I use an iPad 6. generation with iPadOS 16.5.1.

somehow this hasn’t got explained well enough: we all go through the process of selecting “word” in the export options, and instead we get two png images of the word. I, for instance, am pretty sure that I keep selecting the “word” option in this export option, like I did since the feature came out, but now it doesnt export the words. if anyone have a current workaround or way to export as word that doesn’t involve repeating the non-working process, we will appreciate it.
I also have this problem on my iPad Air (5. Gen.), iPadOS 17.3 - try to export a „Pages“ file as „Word“ and instead of producing a *.docx file PNGs are created. And yes, it is no mistake in choosing the right export option! This is really frustrating and makes using pages for me useless… Apple should urgently solve that bug!

Save a copy of a Pages document in another format
1. Open the document, then tap.
2. Tap Export, then tap a format:
• Word: These files can be opened and edited with Microsoft Word in .docx format.
3. Tap one of the options for sending, saving, or posting the document.
4. Choose a location, or provide the requested information (an email address if you’re sending an email, for example), then send or post the copy.

Mike_P1, unfortunately, as Hansgeorg1957 says, .png files are created, not Word files
This started for me yesterday. It is not working on my ipad and it is not working using Windows 11. I am starting to see new gold markings in the document (annotations) that I did not put there. One triangle. It is a two page docuent al alpha numeric characters I don't understand why I can't save, print or send the document.
You will get PNG files if you select Export and choose Images, instead of Word and then Save To Files. I can choose Word and Save to Files with a Word document appearing, or one of the other options such as Mail and a Word document is attached to the outgoing Mail.
Tested: Pages v13.1 on iOS 16.5.1, and did the same thing on Pages v13.1 for iPadOS 16.5.1 yesterday.
I don’t see this problem on pages 13.2 and iOS 17.03
