AirPods Pro 2nd Gen – No Difference in Transparency, Adaptive Off, or Active Noise Cancellation Modes

I’m experiencing an issue with my AirPods Pro 2nd Generation (Model A2698), and I have not been able to find any reasoning or solution for it despite numerous troubleshooting attempts.

The problem:

There is no noticeable difference when switching between Transparency Mode, Adaptive Off, or Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). No matter what setting I choose, the sound environment stays the same, as if noise cancellation and transparency features aren’t working at all.

What I’ve already tried:

1. Ensured my connected iPhone is updated to the latest software.

2. Checked that Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is turned on while both AirPods are in my ears.

3. Verified that Adaptive Audio is disabled (since it adjusts noise control settings based on the environment).

Additionally, I’ve:

• Reset the AirPods multiple times following official instructions (holding the case button, re-pairing with my iPhone, etc.).

• Confirmed that the firmware is up-to-date (Version 7A305, Case Version 70.92.0).

• Made sure my AirPods are fully charged during testing.

Despite these steps, I still don’t notice any difference between modes.

I would appreciate any assistance or insight from the community, but please avoid redirecting me to Apple’s general troubleshooting steps (as I’ve already done them), or providing reset instructions, as none of these have solved the problem.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!
