Deterioration of Noise Cancellation in AirPods after Firmware Update to 6A300

Product Affected: AirPods Pro (A2084)

Firmware Version: 6A300

After updating my AirPods to the latest firmware version (6A300), I have noticed a significant deterioration in the noise cancellation feature. The capability to drown out ambient noise, ranging from high to low frequencies, has been negatively affected. In some instances, the noise cancellation feels so weak that I find myself switching to transparency mode just to verify if the noise reduction is indeed enabled.

I had to disable the noise cancellation feature entirely to continue using my AirPods. I suspect that Apple ceased testing on the A2084 model before releasing new firmware versions. According to an announcement from Apple, the A2084 model was discontinued on September 7, 2022. It seems unfair to those who purchased the device in 2022 and used it for just over a year. If my conjecture is accurate, this reflects a rather unfavorable attitude toward the loyal Apple user community.
