Is anyone else having issues with calls failing/not being able to receive calls after iOS 18 update? It starts working again temporarily after switching phone off and on again, but within a few hours, I can't make or receive calls again until I restart the phone. This started immediately after updating to iOS 18.

I am facing similar isssue, as in call fails many times and that call doesn’t get registered in Call history. So sometime when some unknown caller calls, and call fails, I don’t have option to call back as that number is not registered in call history
I am not sure route cause clearly, but it seems that after updating the OS, the phone overheats while charging, and this likely caused damage to the SIM card.
Having same issue but my sms and data is working. I am unable to receive and make a call. Device iPhone 11 Pro 18.0.1
Try updating your iPhone to iOS 18.1 and Reset Network settings under general tab in settings - Transfer or reset iPhone; it should fix your issue.
I have same problem. I sent the phone for warranty repair, because Apple wasn’t able to do something with it.
I have now iPhone 7 which is working fine.

Now I can confidently say that the issue was with the carrier. I took my phone to Chatr, and they resolved it. They discovered that my calls were being forwarded to an unknown number.
Exactly this is what I am facing and the issue is not with SIM card as I am facing this with FaceTime and WhatsApp calls as well even when I am on WiFi
I have an iPhone 14 and this is exactly what happened to me, since upgrading to IOS 18 my contacts' phone calls do not alert me visually or audibly, only appear in missed calls.
Same happened with me even whats app call failed as well facetime apple should look into this
Have you contacted the support team at your cellular service provider? If so, what did they say?
