Unable to change the color of the text while editing photos after iOS 18 update

I am unable to change the color of text that is added to a photo or screenshot since the IOS 18 update. This is interfering and troublesome with daily use of my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Apple, please correct this problem as soon as possible. Surely other Apple users are experiencing this same issue. As expensive as an iPhone is, this problem should not have been allowed to continue for this length of time. Get busy Apple…get this fixed.

The update to 18.1 (iPhone 15 Pro Max) is useless. Did not fix the “adding text to photos and editing it” problem

at all. It’s useless. I’m very surprised that Apple hasn’t fixed this yet. It’s a tremendous bug because it renders the photo editing USELESS.

Hello Friends... I actually called Apple Support regarding an issue with my MacBook Air. While I had an Apple support technician on the phone, I told him several things regarding iOS updates, but specifically how frustrating it is not to be able to edit photos and change the color of the 'edits.'

HERE IS THE TAKE: APPLE responds to correcting the issues that are complained about by the most users. This is beyond frustrating... similar to "now you can specify a time for a text you create to be sent." I have read article after article regarding the steps to do this. HOWEVER, when the "tools" described are not even present or accessible to complete the steps... Yep, another negative thought regarding upgrades that DO NOT WORK.

Come on Apple... I have spoken to so many friends that are crossing over to the 'other' platform, and I don't even bring the subject up! Maybe Apple should be paying more attention to their system's performance...

Wow. I came here looking for a way to fix this and learn what I might have been doing wrong, but evidently there’s no fix at all. What a shame. I need this feature for work too much to just ignore the problem. Time to figure out how to use a Samsung. Boo, Apple. Boo!

Now the crop function in photo editing has defaulted to a fixed ratio type rather than Freeform and each time you try to crop you have to take two steps instead of the original one. First world problem but give me a break, the once great photo editing function is enshittefied.

For this to be broken so long is evidence that Apple does not want images to be easily modified into MEMES and other text speech which are harder to censor or monitor. Prove us wrong Apple and fix this now.

Dumb dumb we know how to edit, the app crashes as soon as you try to change the color in the PHOTO app. We are asking Apple to fix the PHOTO APP CRASHING when trying to edit text in the pictures in the Photo App!!!

I was working on a photo the other day and it seemed like it had been fixed. Allowed me to add text, change colour, change font size, etc., but then when I saved it none of the text was saved on the photo as it appears when editing but is completely off-kilter. So. Incredibly. Frustrating.

Thank you for the suggestion; it worked to adjust and change the text in the image. As someone previously mentioned, it is truly absurd that these kinds of faulty functions appear in Apple products, which are known for being exceptionally good at charging more than their actual quality justifies.

ROFLMAO! They “fixed” it with iOs.13 it takes a few extra steps, but it can be done now. Again, it wasn’t broken, but it got “fixed” when they added new features and changed the user interface over a year ago. Thanks Apple. Remember that lots of people buy Apple because it is simply supposed to work. Don’t Android my iPhone

I must say I had a Samsung at the time. They said it was the best next thing to an iPhone and at the time I didn’t have the money for an iPhone now that I have an iPhone I’m starting to wonder the Samsung I had no issues whatsoever with the editing situation on my Samsung !!

Don’t get me wrong ,

I do love Apple phone !!

It does have a lot of options otherwise but with just being said, I loved the option of having that editing without having a problem whatsoever. I hope the issue taking seriously soon🤗
