iOS 18 Bluetooth Connection problems

My Vocal Shortcuts has never been set up and has always been off... that was not the problem for me. I updated to 18.1 and still I have the same problems...

Apple FINALLY came out with the 18.1 update! I downloaded yesterday and my Bluetooth issue has been resolved! Hope it works for everyone else too!

my car play still continues to disconnect at will even after the 18.1 update never did this before 17.7/18/18.01 updates

Same problems. Ever since ios18 I cannot connect to my CarPlay on my ATLAS. Bluetooth doesn’t seem to work. The only fix I’ve discovered is plugging the usb or usbc directly to your iPhone. But Bluetooth isn’t working.

After upgrading to iOS 18, my Bluetooth audio cuts out for a second when waking or locking my phone. It happens on multiple Bluetooth devices on multiple different audio apps. The problem is definitely not on my end. I hope they fix this soon!

Yes! Been having Bluetooth issues since I purchased the new iPhone 16 with the IOS 18. It connects to my car for a few seconds then disconnects. It’s very annoying! I called Apple support and they claim there are “no known issues reported”. They told me to update my cars firmware but I have a 2019 Cadillac that’s updated and no issues with my other iPhone. I wish they’d fix this glitch!!!

Same as with others. After install of iOS 18, my Beats Studio Buds are constantly disconnecting or stopping playback. Also getting crackling and pauses as if my phone is 30 feet away but right next to me. I’ve tried completely resetting them multiple times and no improvement. Incredibly frustrating and hoping for a fix from Apple. I know it’s the update because I paired to my work phone that is running iOS 17.x and they work perfectly fine.

I have been having the same Bluetooth problems with my Bose QC35 II headphones and new, out of the box, Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones. The will connect for a second and then drop. Additionally I now need to use a cord to run Apple Carplay instead of the cord free option. I performed all of the usual methods to try and fix it: restart iphone, reset the network, forget the headphones and have them rediscovered, turning off the vocal shortcut. I even went to the Apple Store and they blamed it on my headphones after running a diagnostics. Telling me to update to iOS 18, which I did, and the issue is still occuring. Apple WTF, this issue needs to be addressed ASAP!!

CarPlay issue! I am having issues with calling out and the convo being really glitchy plus when it goes to hang up it calls another random person. Please update as soon as possible! I would have never updated if I knew this was going to happen

CarPlay issue here! I am having issues with calling out and having a convo with someone. It is very glitchy and every time I go to hang up it calls another random person. I haven’t had any issues with playing music through Spotify. It just seems like the CarPlay issues are all over the place.

After speaking with Apple tech it was determined my current app version of Sirius was not compatible with my phone after the 18.0 update. I deleted app and when reinstalled apparently got the new version and everything now works. It would be nice if Apple gave some warnings on these updates.

Before 18 my car and bathroom speakers would autoconnect away from my Oticon hearing aids but now on 18 , I have to turn off/on bt on my iphone 14 Pro Max and then the speaker connects.  

Maybe I have a new setting wrong but I haven't found it yet.   Would anyone have an idea on this?

I have Airpods Pro 2 and my wife has regular airpods v3. Both of us had to disconnect our airpods to try to repair the connection issues and now neither of us can reconnect them to our phones. We have -vocal shortcuts- turned off already. We didn't have these problems before updating to 18.0. I'm sure Apple is working on it, I just wanted to add to the list so a fix can be prioritized.

Seems like updates are made by mentally challenged people. Very limited, and they don’t run tests before launching… basic mistakes that shouldn’t happen. F-them. Also the VERY USELESS AND ANNOYING LOW-BAT REMINDER. I DONT F-ING NEED NOR WANT A REMINDER

For the Tesla keycard problem, someone somewhere posted the suggestion to do a soft reset on the iPhone (click up volume button, release, click down volume button, release, press main on button and hold until the Apple logo appears). They reported that doing this once a day cleared the problem. It works for me. Whether it solves other Bluetooth disconnect problems I don't know but worth a try.
