How to reply to yourself in a community post?, reply button is grey

I created a question in the community and found the solution myself after 4 months, it is nowhere on the Internet, no one answered me, I would like to publish it under my question, but I can't answer myself, the answer button is gray, what should I do?

Posts get locked for age and/or inactivity. Best action is to start a new thread that includes a link to your original question and then state the solution you found.


If the original post is not too long (5000 character posting limit), you could also copy/paste it into the new post. If it is long, you can use the Additional Text tool in the text entry toolbar:



to include the original question in a scrolling window regardless of its length.


We are not moderators so cannot know the exact "age" that triggers a lock. It seems to be a moving target
