How can I use AirPods Pro 2 as a hearing aid?

How do I start using AirPods Pro generation 2 as hearing aid. I have downloaded the IOS 18? Please give clear steps to follow.

the hearing aid settings won't come up in my AirPods settings So I have an iPhone 15 and AirPod pro 2 (both are updated to the latest versions) and when I connect my air pods and go into my AirPod settings I don’t have the option to do the hearing aid test or turn it on the whole hearing aid feature is missing

I don’t think the feature works if you have severe hearing loss
