I just upgraded my Ultra 2 to Watch OS 11 any my Iphone 15 pro to IOS 18. When trying to turn on sleep apnea notifications, it says "unvailable - sleep apnea notifications are not available on your apple watch".
The hardware should be capable, so where is my mistake?

Have a 16 pro max and upgraded from the series 2 watch to the ultra2 and get the same error. Deleted all health devices, old watch is no longer paired and reset the watch from scratch and still have the issue.

i’ve tried all these steps but no luck. have an iphone 13 pro max and a new apple watch 10 with latest ios and eatchiS installed.
unpaired and set up as a new watch as well as restored from a backup. also powered it off and back on as another suggested but still says the feature is not available on my watch. so frustrating since i got this mainly for that feature.
A reboot of the AWU 2 did the trick - now its working :-)
I, too, am told by the health app that sleep apnea notifications are unavailable on my new Apple Watch 10. I rebooted the watch and my phone, to no avail. I set up my watch from scratch. I verified that sleep tracking is enabled on my watch. Still unavailable.
No luck from online searches, ChatGPT, or Grok (although they did give good advice on prerequisites to check). I'm out of ideas.
Same here. Using Apple 10. 16 Pro Max. Getting sleep apnea notifications unavailable on your Apple Watch. Unpaired the watch completely repaired same result. The phone Oh, I hope they fix it soon
Can confirm, a reboot of the U2 watch allowed it to show as active on the watch, and the "manage with health on phone" worked as well.
My guess: the watch doesn't know its region in some cases until its first reboot. A guess, as I said, but I'd bet a donut on it.
I'm happy to report that I had this exact issue and fixed it. I upgraded from a Watch 6 to a Watch 10 today. I paired the 10 and then had this issue. I decided to try un-pairing both watches and then re-pairing the 10. This fixed it.
I just got my new Series 10 yesterday and also get the message that "Sleep apnea notifications are not available on your Apple Watch". I unpaired the watch + my Series 8 but still can't get it to work. It was the main reason I upgraded the watch.....
