Unable to turn on Sleep Apnea notifications on Apple Watch 10

I’ve unpaired and repaired and still the sleep apnea on the health app says its unavailable.

Did you tap No to "Have you been diagnosed with sleep apnea?" A Yes will not allow you to continue.

Some regions it does not work. I live outside the US and when I try to install after much research, I get the message from Apple. "Apnea does not work in your region." Same with ECG for me. Governments. Power.

Is your iPhone on iOS 18.1? Also, what is your age according to your Apple Account? Are you in the US? Finally, did you try NotPenneysBoat's suggestion?

I was also unable to activate the sleep apnea app. The problem turned out to be a simple graphics issue. The sleep apnea screen asked whether I was 18 years or older. I clicked yes, but the “continue” option didn’t light up, so I couldn’t continue. Major DUH on my part… It turns out there is another question below the visible area of screen, asking whether we’ve been diagnosed with sleep apnea. If you scroll down, you’ll see it. Answer that question, and the “continue” option will light up. I hope it’s that simple for everyone else!

I just want to say thank you. I have been struggling with turning on the sleep apna notifications. Even went to support. But you helped so much when you said there was a question below. Totally did see that. Anyway thanks for posting your responses.

It works now with the public release of 18.1.

Carol, thanks for your reply, but it only asks if I’m 18 or older. I select over 18, but it doesn’t continue. I’ve never been diagnosed with sleep apnea, so this is strange.
