You don't know how, because you can't. The iPhone 12 Pro supports iOS 18 – but it does not support Apple Intelligence.

You need an iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, or 16-series phone to install Apple Intelligence. You also must satisfy some other requirements (e.g., "Apple Intelligence will not currently work for supported devices purchased in China mainland").

Even those two models have less RAM than any of the iPhones that are compatible with Apple Intelligence.

Probably not. With the lack of RAM, CPU core and slower processor speed of the iPhone 12, I would imagine many users complaining how the feature had slowed down their phone and would be filling this support site with their threats to sue Apple for the performance issues they are now experiencing. It is excellent on the devices that can handle the resources required to implement the feature.

Well, Apple doesn't provide "worse versions" of anything. Mac Jim ID gave you a really excellent response and we'll just leave it there. The fact won't change that iPhone 12 is NOT capable of running Apple Intelligence and if Apple Intelligence is something you want, Apple would be happy to take your phone in trade towards an iPhone which can run Apple Intelligence.

The first two words translate as Spanish for “I want.” The last two look like a misspelling of Apple Intelligence.

This poster is going to keep wanting, without having, if what he or she wants is Apple Intelligence on an iPhone 12.

Sure, look at the list of supported devices MrHoffman provided, then trade in your iPhone 12 for an iPhone which is capable of running Apple Intelligence.

Apple offers a trade-in program in some areas, so if your iPhone 12 is in good condition, you might be able to trade it in, and get credit to apply to the purchase of an iPhone 16-series phone or Certified Refurbished iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max. However, the trade-in credit would only be a small fraction of the price of the replacement phone.

The iPhone 12 does not satisfy the requirements for Apple Intelligence, cannot run it now, and will not receive it.

There is no point in begging us to "fix it."

If you need Apple Intelligence, you need to buy a phone that is compatible with it. Note that although the only iPhones currently compatible with Apple Intelligence are the 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and 16-series ones, there are other requirements that mean that even some of those phones do not have it. For instance, Apple Intelligence isn't available for phones designed for sale in mainland China.

Apple Intelligence Does Not Support A14 Bionic Chip the chip that the iPhone 12 models use Apple Intelligence only supports A17 Pro Bionic and later but Apple made a solution for this you can buy a iPhone 16e thats supports apple intelligence and with the A18 bionic chip it is the latest phone but with a good price of 600$
