MacBook Air m1 ssd issue

I brought this MacBook from a seller and when to turn it on it booted into recovery. After using diskutil list command it was unallocated I need help formatting the disk into apfs using diskutil command

If you didn't get this screen the first time you turned on the MBA it's a used machine and was not prepared in accordance to this Apple document prior to the sale: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support. I would return it to the seller for a full refund and, if you need to watch your budget, get a refurbished MBA from Apple or OWC (MacSales).

Take it back to the Seller.


Ask for a Full Refund or tell them to prepare the computer properly via the suggestion by @Old Toad 👍


Notation of importance - inform the seller that " MacBook Air, macOS 15.0 " is a Beta Software


It should not be on this computer at the present time


This operating system in Not Yet Officially Released for general usage
