M2 Macbook Air randomly “shuts off”

I recently got an M2 Macbook Air. The first week, it was perfectly fine. But now, periodically (it may not happen, could happen once a day etc) it just suddenly “shuts off” while im using it. The screen shuts off, the Force Touch Touchpad disables (I can’t press it down) and pressing buttons does nothing. I just have to wait for it to turn back on (can take 5-30 seconds). When it does turn back on, it opens to the Lock Screen, when I log in everything is still open. I have restarted it and done a software update, still problem persists. Its quite annoying, so any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

Turn on the option to "prevent automatic sleeping when the display is off" in system settings -> energy saver. It might help.
