Troubleshooting iPhone Charge:

A. View the Battery Health:

Apple recommends you get a new battery, once the Battery Health reaches 80% or lower. When the Battery Health is 80% or lower, it is time for a new battery.

1. Go To: Settings
2. Tap: Battery
3. Tap: Battery Health
4. View: [the percentage]
5. Is it 80% or less?  If so, it is time for a new battery.

I found my IPhone 11 would not wirelessly charge after an update last night, to iOS 17.6.1 (21G93) but would charge on a cable. In the light of a comment that some phones only charged if turned off, I turned the phone off, put it to wirelessly charge and it restarted, and is now charging.

After loading IOS 17.6.1, my iPhone 13 will not charge using the Apple 20W charger. It will charge using the 10W Apple charger. I also took the 17.6.1 update to my iPad (9th generation) and it charges fine using the 20W Apple charger. So it’s not an issue with my 20W charger.

The iOS 17.6.1 update does a lot of intensive background housekeeping for a few hours (or days), which uses up a lot battery power. It is very probably charging, but also discharging at the same time because of all that background activity that you cannot see.

When I updated my SE 2nd Gen, it actually dropped from 80% charge down to as low as 21%, even though it was plugged into the charger (via Lightning cable) all day and showed the little lightning bolt on a green battery icon.

By the next day or so it got better. The Battery Health was at 82%, the same as before the update.

i have tried several power sources but the same issue.

i change cords outlet and the wall adapter nothing worked. when I reboot the iPad Air, it then began to charge
