Iphone white/green screen issue

I recently faced the white screen issue on my Iphone 13 Pro on updating to iOS 17.6. I saw that many users have had the same issue with their phone. My phone is completely operative underneath with touchscreen and everything else working alright. It seems like a very bright white curtain overlaid on my display. This has not happened due to any misuse or mishandling. My screen just started randomly flashing white one day and the next day it went all white. I contacted apple support the day it started flashing. They did a diagnostics and replied that it is not a hardware issue. Reportedly, they are asking anywhere in between INR 12,000 to 30,000 for resolving the issue at the service centers. Is this not a problem arising out of incompatibility between hardware and firmware? I want to ask that if so many people are facing the same issue worldwide, why is Apple treating it as a customer problem than a company problem? Can all those who are facing this issue not start a campaign to get Apple to resolve the matter? It is a costly phone especially in my country. To add another INR 30,000 to repair it is appalling. This is a poor job from Apple. Or maybe this is just a revenue generation strategy.

I am really seeing so many complaints regarding this online. I suggest we start a cross country campaign of sorts to force apple to resolve this. The least they can do is replace all affected phone displays. And, resolve this issue.

Latest update on the issue:

I was advised by apple support to visit the nearest authorized service centre. So I did. There I was informed that for iPhone 13 models white screen issue apple is replacing the display free of cost provided:

  1. There is no physical damage on the phone (to be checked in detail investigation by their technicians)
  2. The phone should be in a working condition apart from the white screen.
  3. There should be a valid invoice of the phone

They may charge you an initial ₹1500 as a service charge but if your repair is approved for exception by Apple, this will be refunded to you or you may have to forego it as labour charges.

I received my repaired phone today. If your phone is operational despite the white screen you should try your luck by visiting the service centre. All the best!
