Safari gets a message that it ‘Can’t connect to iCloud Private Relay'

Safari Can't Connect to iCloud Private Relay - Safari Can't open the page. The error is: "The operation couldn't be completed. No such file or directory" (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:2)

Safari was working fine when I shut it down on 7/24/24, I have changed no settings. There are several fires happening within a 50 mile radius from where I live. But, I am using Google Chrome, it seems to be running fine.

I'm using a Mac mini (Late 2014) macOS Monterey, Version 12.75 (21H1222) Processor 2.6 Ghz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DOR3 With an OWC 240GB Aura Pro X SSD Add-On

Thanks for your reply, dggraphicsnyc. 7/26/24 I tried Sys Pref; Safari pref-nothing out of the ordinary; I hadn't changed anything recently; internet was not working with Mail either; tried Chrome, it was working fine, so I used it the rest of the day. When I was done for the day I shut it down, turned it on today at about 6:00 pm in Chico CA, and Safari worked fine.

When I opened Mail today, I saw 6X6's reply, so I entered "Private Relay" in Safari Help. It said: On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Apple ID, then select iCloud in the sidebar. —Click Private Relay; when it opened > Private Relay (BETA), so I figure they were probably fixing something with Private Relay (BETA), yesterday.

Thanks for your help 6X6🙋🏼‍♀️.
