Logic 11 Drummer Fail? Are all my old projects doomed?

Howdy community! Thanks for all the help over the years.

Can I reinstall the Logic 10 drummer? I was stupefied to hear there is a clear (and unwelcome, in my opinion) difference in the way the drums sound. They've made the production *bigly*, and the interface feels way less inspiring. I was also very disappointed that I can't even extend or adjust old drummer tracks without updating. I have soooo many old projects that I'm still tweaking, and I guess the drums (coming from the Logic 10 drummer) are now "untweakable" if they want to blend with the parts that I'm in love with.

So my question is, can I go back? Can I undo the install of the new drummer?

Thank you!

If you've saved the project in Logic 11, you can not go back to earlier versions of Logic. If you still have your Logic 10 copies, you can go back to Logic 10, but unless you backed up the Logic 10 app itself, you'll have a hard time finding it online. Apple doesn't supply past versions readily, and they don't warn us of these very drastic and work killing issues before hand.

Lessons learned; 1- Never update until all current work is finished. 2- Always zip up a copy of an app before a major version number update, and keep a backup of your projects separate from your system. Just in case the new version destroys your workflow.

This feels like a first / new low, because apparently they just scrapped downwards compatibility versus the usual hidden legacy plugin method. So once you go from LP 10 to 11, all your old projects are changed forever, instead of them simply creating a new, second plugin. I guess you can only try to finish old projects on a copy of 10, while the libraries are still compatible.

If I would imagine that I suddenly could not use decades old StylusRMX, RealGuitar or T-Racks settings in old projects, that would be crazy, but of course, those companies would never do that. The one very vaguely similar instance I can remember is when Melodyne changed their algorithm and converted your vocals to their new better / not better / but definitely slightly different sound.

But that is nothing compared to what happened here. I would like to say so much more, but won't. The party is always right, and for other cases, see rule one.

On the positive side, none of those super enthusiastic YT influencers seemed to notice or care, so it can't be that bad.
