Until the latest update, once could use the character drummers (they had names and styles associated with each) and choose those separately from the kits, but that's all gone now (or I cannot find them after 2 hours). The brushes kit is also gone.

From what I could gather, the new drummer basically is a new plugin that has some data compatibility with the old one via a one time conversion. The old drummer seems to have been more or less deprecated. It is hard to imagine that someone who actually uses Logic and its plugins to make music approved this.

I guess we're stuck with our current drum tracks and unable to alter them or touch them. The'll work as long as you don't change anything, which I learned the hard way. If you lengthen or shorten one of those smart drummer regions, you'll lose that work, period. So, we're all stuck without warning.

Re: Not changing the drum tracks. Is it possible, as a workaround, to bounce the drum tracks and then edit them as audio?
