M1 MacBook Pro logic board failure

On: Jan. 10, 2022, I paid $2,609.17 for the MacBook Pro (14-inch,2021) with 8-Core CPU, 14-Core

GPU, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD.  Serial No: D2**GHY

On Sept 21, 2023, the MacBook will not power up and I paid $1,050.77 to replace the Logic Board 8-Core

CPU, 14-Core GPU, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD and the Touch ID Board.

On May 16, 2024, less than 8 months, the MacBook experienced the exact issue, not powering up again, and I brought it into Apple Fairview to find out the issue and the technician while not recommending

me to repair it because the repair will involve replacing the same Logic Board and Touch ID Board and the Silver Top Case with Battery ANSI, with total estimate of $1,845.83 and Apple does not believe it will fix this issue for good since there were many other people experiencing the same Logic Board issue failure.

I want to know if there is a generic issue with model that resulting in this type of unreliability and if Apply is going to fix this type of generic issue for its loyal customers.

loyalty has zero to do with your issue.

I see no service program for the M1—

Recall and All service programs:

Apple Service Programs - Apple Support

the Applecare+ does cover a large part of hardware failures...

Check your coverage

My Support - Official Apple Support

All you can do is take it in and have it repaired or trade it in as is.

Apple Trade In

I will add out-of-warranty repairs are only guaranteed for 90 days.

Typically in the past if Apple does release a Service Program, they have offered a refund for out of pocket expense parts & labor for the exact issue covered.

Service Programs are triggered by the percentage of all MBP of this spec vs the number of failures documented.

We are not privy to this %, or have any more insight.
