Multiple times logic board failure

  • Hi, I have MBP 16" 2019 model. Logic board has failed 3 times in 3 years. First time was covered under warranty. After replacing within 5 months logic board has failed again. This time I have paid out of pocket which was very expensive. Third time has failed after 19months. I just use excel, word and browse youtube videos. Apples response was since the laptop worked fine for 19 months, I have to pay for repair again and if in future logic board fails, they will think about alternate. Also they were saying they have stopped the production of this laptop so to replace the same laptop it will be a task for them. Do you guys think this is a fair response from Apple? I can get same brand new laptop for amount paid for two times logic board replacement. Any suggestions will be helpful.

Apple has responded per their corporate policies and procedures ... everybody gets the same so yes, it's fair.

I'd have never wasted my time and money on a device that keeps failing regardless of initial cost. My 2016 MBP needed the board replaced, and if it ever needs it again, it gets recycled. There comes point where you're spending more money than the device is worth. You've passed that point in my opinion.
