Latest IOS update - old pictures back

Since the latest update of IOS old pictures that I deleted have come back into my phone. Pictures that I have deleted a long long time ago — so not within the last 30 days. Apple needs to fix this bug. And I am concerned that deleted things are actually still somewhere out there and not totally removed as we are made to believe!

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution! Please look in the right direction.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

I do not believe this is a setting’s issue in the iPhone as the pictures that reappeared were deleted more than a year ago from all my devices including from the “deleted” files on the iPhone/iPad. I have all my pictures taken with Apple devices backed up on a server away from the iCloud (in case you might think it is a cloud issue). I am more than convinced that it happened after the update. There have been others who have experienced the same problem right after the most recent update.
