Recently recently updated to iOS 17.5. Noticed in my photo library that old pictures that had been supposedly permanently deleted months and years ago reappeared in my photo album. I don’t use any other service like Google back up or anything else only Apple. How is this possible?

I just noticed the same thing happened to me. Every photo I have ever taken and deleted just returned.
Same here but I’m wondering if it was an iCloud or a hardware issue?
And is it bringing back photos from before a factory reset?
