Iphone 15 issue with Youtube app in landscape mode

I am recently seeing this in iphone 15 (sw 17.4.1); when i am watching a video on youtube in portrait mode and change the screen to landscape mode, the video doesnot fill up the screen automatically in landscape mode

rather the screen is black and in the corner left of the screen the video plays in s small box like window

you have to go back and forth between portrait and landscape mode to finally play the video full screen in landscape mode

its not so that it is happening always but happening frequently

While viewing a video in portrait orientation, swipe the video ⇡up⇡ for full screen.

Now, simply rotate into landscape orientation and you’re all set. 😉

It happened to me after I update the YouTube app to latest version. I had to delete and install again, then the issue is gone.

I have the same issue with my iPhone14PM. I can use full screen but it stays in portrait mode. Even using auto-rotate does’t work. It also stays in portrait view. I hope someone gives a solution soon. ☺️

Wow, that sounds annoying.

You really should contact Google and let them know about this issue with their service, website or app
