How to Change USB C Device Type on iPad (or remove a Device)

Got a USB C to USB C + 3.5mm jack splitter. On connecting it first time was asked if it is a headphone. Selected yes. The 3.5mm jack works but not the USB C so I think I should have slected “no”. Is there a way to change the device type or remove it and start again?

Thanks.

Which make or brand is the splitter. In most cases the USB-C port on the splitters is for power only. You cannot connect other devices to it.

Check the splitters user guide for specifics.

The headphone selection does not influence or limit the functionality of the other port in any way.

Thanks for the reply.

It's a Nordic and no instructions came with it. The problem is charging doesn't work. Not trying to connect another device. Found that in sound I could remove all USB devices and when I plug it in again the iPad asks if it's a headphone or other device again. Selecting other device didn't help so I guess the cable is a dud or not compatible.
