IPad pro Usb-c not recognizing my usb-c splitter for mic and headphones or just my headphones ( useless )

is this an update problem? My adapter and headphones used to work for garage band , now i cant get anything to work except for the internal speakers and mic witch doesn’t allow for good recording on garage band or private listening thru wired headphones.

NO its not a dirty port , not a malfunctioning splitter/ adapter and NO its not the headphones.

so what is it? Anyone from apple says “ oh , check this and that and so on” its all the same answer , like they do not get it??? What is really wrong , they should look into the issue because this makes my ipad pro useless in a-lot of ways.

iPad, iOS 10
