How can I stop Apple Music from skipping tracks on my iPhone?

Same here! I’ve done everything that Apple support suggested and it still skips to the next song over and over. The craziest thing is it’s skipping faster and faster. It also only happens on my iPhone. My iPad and computer work perfectly fine. Very annoying.

I am having this happen too. I have deleted and reinstalled everything too. I thought maybe the files were corrupted however they work perfectly fine on my laptop in both media player and itunes so I know it's my phone somehow and for the life of me I can't fix it.

Has anyone figured this out? Mine started doing this just a few month ago and I can’t figure it out. I have a iPhone 14 pro

It’s just weird that it started doing it when I’ve had the same car for 4 years and this is just something that started to happen. I never had to use a physical cord before. So that’s annoying that I’ll have to!

I just noticed the same problem about a month ago in my new 2024 car, was using Bluetooth and it would CONSTANTLY skip. I went back to connecting via USB to USB-C cord and using CarPlay, and no problems. Will see if it skips while using AirPods, it’s been a while since I’ve used them. I have an iPhone 15 pro if that matters to anyone lol.

I finally figured out the problem was the Bluetooth in my 2017 Camry. I’m now using an audio cable and there is no skipping.

i’m guessing that anytime you use a digital signal (Bluetooth, lightning to USB, etc.), It’ll do the “skipping“ thing. I believe if you use an analog cable, it won’t do that. They’re trying to prevent piracy. That’s my opinion, anyway.

I’ve been noticing this for years, not just on Apple Music, but on Spotify and Amazon Music as well. My belief is that it is a way for them to “protect” the music from being recorded/pirated, in that you wouldn’t be able to preserve a perfect copy, because the music randomly “skips”. Naturally, they would never come out and actually admit that’s what’s going on, because then you would have people complaining. I DO believe it is 100% intentional, and it sucks. It’s like an unspoken rule for streaming services that you have to implement. It seems the only way to hear the music as intended is to purchase the album. 🤷‍♂️ I wonder it TIDAL does it…🤔

Me too. This is the kind of issue I would expect in 2004, not 2024. Maybe instead of adding silly animated emojis, Apple can get the basics right. Remember, “it just works?” Well, it doesn’t anymore. More quality, less quantity please.
