Ultra Watch 2 heart rate issues

I am on my 3rd Apple Watch having had watch versions 3 & 6 and now Ultra 2 in the last couple of months running 10.3.1. I have had cardiac problems since 2012 & had a pacemaker implanted in 2012. My two previous watches functioned perfectly, but since I've had it the Ultra 2, when I'm sitting it frequently tells me my heart rate is dropping below 40 beats for 20 mins or more. It happened so often I thought there might actually be a pacemaker problem & made a visit to the clinic. No, there isn't a pacemaker problem, my heart rate is set to not to drop below 60 beats. The pacemaker keeps a record of any events & there are none. So I am suspecting a problem with the watch, has anybody else experienced this?

I eventually sent my watch back for service, it was returned "no fault found". It did function fine for a few days, but has relapsed again, I've also noticed the altimeter is acting strange telling me I'm 20 metres below sea level when I'm approx 3 metres above.

Resetting the watch or unpairing it with my phone fixes the problem, but after a few days it returns.

I think I'm going to try to get it replaced

I am experiencing a what appears to be problem with the heart rate measurement on my new iWatch Ultra 2. It is frequently giving me warnings that my heart rate has dropped below 40 bpm and when I check it against my cuff blood pressure/heart rate readings. Moreover, it has given a significantly different readings within a matter of less than a minute. My previous iWatch did not report any such low-heart-rate excursions. It's faintly possible, I guess, that my heart rate could have begun to fluctuate that wildly that often, but it seems like an odd coincidence that it begins to show up only after I got the new watch.
