How to locate lost 3rd generation AirPods?

i was at skate city with some friends for a school provided event, and my airpods slipped out of my pocket at some point. i marked them as lost when i realized i didn’t have them, then i tracked them and went to the address it said they were at. me and my dad looked EVERYWHERE and couldn’t find them (it was an apartment complex which is unfortunate). if i can’t get these back i don’t get airpods ever again, is there anything i can do?? the warranty isn’t expired yet if that helps
