How do i put my AirPods on lost mode

I lost my AirPods, and FindMy is telling me their last known location was at a park where I was walking. I'm guessing they were left in the restroom. I couldn't find them when I went back and I'm trying to get ahold of the park ranger. Anyway - I found an article about putting them in lost mode, however that option is not available in FindMy. Any help appreciated. I need to find them!

*Turn on the Find My network

If you turn on the Find My network, you might be able to see the location of your AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max even if your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network.
