Why does iPad Pro dim in Sidecar Mode?

Screen set to brightness level, and is very bright not "Sidecarred" to Mac, but once Sidecar is activated, iPad screen gets noticeably dimmer.

I would like it to stay the same brightness

iPad Pro, iPadOS 17

Do you by chance use Lunar? I have it installed and set up for its XDR emulation so i can work effectively in bright conditions outside. Good to be able to tap the 1600 nits.

I am playing around with drawing on the ipad using sidecar, so i found this issue and thought about it and turned off Lunar, and it looks like the problem is resolved.

I will also be exploring BetterDisplay as an alternative to Lunar as it also supports XDR. i found Lunar to be insanely overengineered.
