My iPad screen brightness got dimmed while screen recording with/without voice.

I am sorry in advance there are no any proof for this issue.

Because I've tried recording with another phone and the camera cannot capture my ipad dimmed screen brightness.

So, while activate the function of screen recording in control center on my iPad Pro M1 (2021), the screen will reduce the brightness automatically around 5%, and when I finished screen recording the brightness will turn back to normal level.

I have turned off all function that will affect the brightness automatically, but still, the screen got dimming while screen recording.

This issue start happening when I update iPadOS to 16.0

Big thank you to anyone who reply this issue.

Hey Sako177,

Do you experience the device getting too warm while you use your iPad? Does this usually happen when you screen record only? It's possible that your device screen might dim down due to the device temperature exceeding the normal operating range.

To learn more about this, check out this article here: If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold

If the interior temperature of your device exceeds the normal operating range, you might notice these changes:

* Charging, including wireless charging, slows or stops.
* The display dims or goes black.
* Cellular radios enter a low-power state. The signal might weaken during this time.
* The camera flash is temporarily disabled.
* Performance slows with graphics-intensive or augmented-reality apps or features.

We hope this helps!

Best regards.

Hi, i am on 16.4.1 ipados

even i am facing this issue. No matter if ipad is getting hot or at normal room temperature (of 26 degrees Celsius).

So, even if auto brightness is off and true tone is also off, i am getting same result. Brightness reduces as soon as screen recordiNg starts (note - the brightness adjuster remain at same level thoroughly the process)

it didn’t used to happen before this update i guess. Any help would be appreciated.

thank you

I am also experiencing this issue on my M1 iPad Pro 12.9in. When I attempt to screen record my screen automatically dims and device performance suffers considerably. After I end the recording the brightness resets but the lag persists until I restart my iPad. This issue applies to third-party screen recording apps as well as the default screen recording app. I did not experience this issue until I updated to iPadOS 16.4.
